New Orleans youngster Kobe Narcisse earns honor to play with Jason Day in Wells Fargo pro-am
Last month, Thomas Jefferson High School freshman Kobe Narcisse was announced as the winner of a nationwide essay contest with The First Tee and Wells Fargo. Tuesday night, Narcisse decided on his prize.
Given the first choice of pros to partner with in Wednesday’s pro-am for the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, Narcisse chose defending champion Jason Day. The pair hit the links Wednesday in the pro-am in Charlotte.
Narcisse’s essay was judged as the grand prize winner in the national contest, which is part of Wells Fargo’s “Succeeding Together” community program. Wells Fargo is a national trustee of The First Tee. More than 30,000 participants nationwide were eligible for the essay contest.
Narcisse has been a part of The First Tee of Greater New Orleans program for seven years. He is also a member of Thomas Jefferson’s football program and aspires to play golf collegiately.
