No. 7 ULM edges No. 10 Appalachian State to advance in Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship

MONROE, La. – A double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds from Travis Munnings led the way as No. 7 ULM edged No. 10 Appalachian State, 89-80, in the first round of the 2019 Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship, presented by First Bank and Trust.

Daishon Smith had 16 points and nine assists for ULM (17-14, 9-9 Sun Belt), while Michael Ertel added 16 points. and JD Williams had 16 points.

Justin Forrest tied a season high with 32 points and had six rebounds for the Mountaineers (11-21, 6-12). Adrian Delph added 14 points and Hunter Seacat had 11 points.
